Silvia Montes

My name is Silvia Montes and I was born and raised in a little town in between the mountains in Spain. Living in the mountains enabled me to see and feel the perfect harmony between men and nature and this gave me a wide view of life.

When I grew up, my curiosity for nature and to explore new things brought me in 1996 to Alaska. I travelled till the last road of Alaska and then I spent almost a year in Kodiak, a fishermen’s island, which is the habitat of the biggest bears in the world. While on this island I received a present that would change my life: a Chinese book titled ‘The I Ching’ and since then, my interest for Chinese science started.

My curiosity about how things function has led me to many different studies and fields that include: Chinese philosophy, Anthropology, I Ching, Chinese astrology, Neidan, Waidan, Acupuncture and Herbal Chinese medicine. These different areas gave me many answers to my questions about life.

The philosophies and models within those systems comprise many of the theories for the practice of Chinese medicine (TCM). These classic theories and models are important to provide the key behind many applications in Chinese medicine, especially the practice of acupuncture, creating the perfect dynamic balance for internal health and external influences.

All that knowledge enabled me to create a unique combination of health and cosmetic treatments. By combining old and modern techniques, I have developed an adequate treatment method for this modern age, where everyone feels the pressure of having limited time.
